We finally made it to Grand Junction Colorado. It still feels weird to say we are Colorado residents. It is a nice sized town, reminds me a lot of Idaho in the scenery and the way the neighborhoods are kind of haphazard, very different from the cookie cutter homes of Las Vegas that we are used to. The red cliffs are really cool too, it is a beautiful drive here from Utah! There are lots of older homes here with character, I like that. As soon I we drove into town, and I saw the horse pastures, big yards and small town stores it felt like home. Everyone seems to be very nice and welcoming.
The kids love their new school, it is much smaller than Darnell was. They get to eat off of "real plastic trays" (vs. the foam disposable ones at Darnell.) Hahaha. I guess the food is made at the school, and much better now that it is served hot instead of still frozen at times. (Not a dis on Darnell, the kids loved it there too, just not the hot lunch.)
We love our new house, we found it online and saw it for the first time when we pulled up with the moving truck. It made us a bit nervous, but everything turned out better than expected. It is really nice, and our landlords (the actual owners) are very nice people.
So far things are good. We miss everyone back in Las Vegas! We welcome anyone coming through, or that wants to visit us exclusively! Susanna refuses to sleep in her new princess room, so we have a great guest bedroom with a queen bed in it for anyone who wants to come visit! This summer we are getting the kids a trampoline and Chris is getting a barbeque so it will be a party!

The house looks great and the backyard is so perfect for the kids! We wish you all the best in your new adventures in Colorado! Love, The Atchleys
Congratulations! I am so happy for you! When does Chris's job begin? Your house looks great--it doesn't look like you just moved in because you already have pictures on the walls. Is it 5 bedrooms, 3 baths? love the fenced yard, too!
Yipee! Sounds like so much fun! I'm really happy to hear that the kids love their school. Love you all!
Wow what a nice house. I love it. I wish we could have some more room... Yeah I know. Good to see things are well. I think Wes is finally on the up side of this crap. He was running a fever yesterday and Sunday still. I hate this crap. Well talk to you soon.
Glad to see you have arrived and moved in! The house looks very nice. Do you like the tile or what? We will sure miss you here, but I sure understand the excitement to be finished with school and moving on. Best of luck to you!
Good to see you getting all settled. we are jealous of the backyard! I'm impressed with all the unpacking you have already done and you even have things hanging on the walls!! WOW!
Your house looks awesome!!
I totally would've called, but we were in GJ on Feb 6th... were you there yet? Next time I will!!
The dino museum is right off the exit at one of the very western freeway exits on I70... in between GJ and the other tiny town right next to GJ. (Sorry, I've been racking my brain!)
It's like $5 to get in, and it's not very big... but you're boys would probably dig the gory dinos!!
The house looks awesome!! And your decor looks great! Congrats!
Wish you were closer!
Seriously, though... we could meet in vail for skiing! (It's kind-of the middle! Ha ha!)
