One of the fun things we did this past weekend with the family was go up to the Grand Mesa. It is about an hours' drive from Grand Junction and oh so worth it! We went to lookout point, basically a cliff that you can look over the whole valley and then some. There is a rock wall that squirrels live on and you can feed. The kids loved that part! Then we went to a nearby lake on the Mesa and had a picnic and played in the water. Conner was the only crazy boy to actually dunk himself (it was a little chilly and breezy) but everyone got pretty wet and muddy.
